Victory of Mercy by artist Evelyn Beatrice Longman is a statue depicting a winged figure offering a bowl to a person lying on the ground below. The sculpture is made of metal and sits upon a stone pedestal which reads “Vision. Courage. Faith”.
The statue was dedicated in 1947 on the campus of Loomis-Chaffee School in Windsor. Longman had her studio at the school and was also the wife of the Headmaster, Nathaniel Batchelder.
